Anna is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Applied Biopsychology at the University of New Orleans. She joined the MUS Lab in the Fall of 2018. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Prior to joining the MusLab she worked in Dr. George F. Michel’s Infant Development Center at UNCG, assisting with projects examining the relation between different types of handedness in infants.
Anna’s research interests fall within the fields of behavioral neuroscience, behavioral neuroendocrinology, and ethology. She is interested in how hormonal signals and thermoregulation influence the development of species- and sex-typical behavior in mice. Anna is especially interested in understanding potential mechanisms underlying behavioral and biological susceptibilities in males and females, and how these behaviors are stabilized or disrupted by various hormonal, environmental, and experiential exposures.
